In 2013, I dedicated all of my free time (non day-job time) to creative pursuits. At this point, I hadn't picked up a paint brush in over a decade. I got into art school before college, but decided to get a degree in Communications and work my way through the business world. I was lost, but now I'm found.

Art is a part of my life. I'm doing this because I have to. It's a way for me to get calm and just make and create and be who I know I am. That's also one of the reasons I love surfing.

I've pretty much based my professional decisions for the last decade around the surf. I've lived all over the world and as fate would have it, while traveling in a camper van through New Zealand, my wife and I found out the best news of our lives...we were having a baby! Luckily I landed a job at lynda.com (now LinkedIn) 4 minutes away from the Queen of the Coast, Rincon.

Surfing and art are very similar. They both allow you to exist amidst the natural order of things, draw your line, and do your best to improve. I've devoted my life to being present through art and surfing.

My goal is to learn how to connect with people through visual storytelling. I want to use the expressive medium that's right for the message I'm trying to deliver, whether it's painting, photography, filmmaking or a mix of all three. Creativity is all about refining and reinventing, failing, adapting, and re-iterating.

This is why I love art. This site showcases my work and keeps me dedicated to a creative life.

This is my passion project. I hope you enjoy!
